To create Gold Standard 100% Isolate, we start by selecting only the highest quality whey protein which undergoes a series of sophisticated filtration processes to ‘isolate’ out excess fat, cholesterol and sugar. A portion of this Whey Protein Isolate is then hydrolyzed – broken down into smaller chains of amino acids. The final product is a fast digesting complete protein containing no more than 1 gram of carbohydrates, less than a gram of fat and more than 80% pure protein per Serving.

I’ve been using the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Isolate for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. It mixes smoothly with just water, no clumps at all, and the flavor (I got the chocolate) is surprisingly good, not too sweet or artificial.
It’s light on the stomach, easy to digest, and perfect post-workout. I also love that it’s low in sugar and carbs, with a high protein content per scoop. You can really tell it’s a clean, high-quality product.

This is the one if you are sensitive to lactose
This is the perfect protein powder if you’re sensitive to lactose. I used to use their whey protein, but I quickly realized I’d become quite sensitive to lactose. Before ordering this, I tried a few pea protein powders, and my God, they tasted unbelievably bad—I nearly gagged on my first sip.
This stuff is amazing. The flavor is a little more noticeable than whey, but not in an offensive way by any means. In fact, it’s surprisingly good.
If you’re sensitive to lactose, this is the protein powder for you.

The perfect match
Being a fitness addict, it’s fundamental for me to have a protein powder that doesn’t make me bloated, doesn’t have additional unnecessary ingredients and tastes great. I found the perfect match with this brand and I’ve used it for quite some time. I also suggested it to friends and they love it as well.
It mixes well with creatine and with anything else you want to make a shake with.
I also tried the vanilla version, same thing, delicious and mixes well but chocolate will always be chocolate 🙂

Great taste
I’ve been using ON whey protein for years but this was the first time using 100% isolate. One should expect to pay a little premium for good quality whey isolate, but I think the markup here is very reasonable compared to other options on the market. The flavor is a huge plus, I got the chocolate and if you like the flavor of Little Debbie Nutty Buddies like I do, this tastes quite akin to that. I’ve found it a delicious and effective protein powder.
